El Nouzha Airport or Alexandria International Airport ((アラビア語:مطار النزهة)) is a public airport located in Alexandria, Egypt, 7 km southeast of the city center. In 2009, the airport served 1,142,412 passengers (−1.8% vs. 2008). The airport is currently closed for renovation and was scheduled for reopening in June 2014 and all traffic was transferred to Borg El Arab Airport. == Facilities == El Nouzha Airport has a single passenger building and two runways: * Runway 04/22: 2,201 x 45 m (7,221 x 148 ft), Surface: Asphalt * Runway 18/36: 1,801 x 30 m (5,909 x 98 ft), Surface: Asphalt Due to the length of the runways, the largest aircraft operating into the airport were the Airbus A320-200, Boeing 737-800 and McDonnell Douglas MD-90.
